Tony has been a pillar of Pasifika Excellence in rugby, exemplified by his role as a Pacific Board member on the Pasifika Rugby Hall of Fame Board. His journey with Ikale Tahi began in 1996 when he was selected for the inaugural tour to South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. Tony’s dedication to the team saw him become a vital member of the Ikale Tahi squad for the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Beyond his playing days, Tony has continued to contribute to rugby, particularly in Tonga. He served as the assistant manager for the Tonga Rugby Union’s national team, maintaining this role through the Japan Rugby World Cup in 2019 and the recent World Cup in France 2023. Additionally, he has held various managerial positions, showcasing his commitment to the sport at both senior and youth levels.
